this is me having coffee in (?) Los Angeles. I am pretty sure it was. We were on some beach but i just cant remember when. if youve ever seen a picture of me on tour before 2009 you can bet yr hind i was sad on it, but this is when things changed and i started to enjoy myself and the things around me.

the years before that was hard man. i had nowhere to live, i was in the making of the albums Loney Noir and the Dear John album knowing that if id fuck those up, id have no career at all. im a pretty happy man now, thankful for what happened, its just im so lazy now, or, making music is so difficult now. im doing some sort of research, reading books and reports, building a mobile studio to fit in a bag, biking and stuff.

so far one new song is recorded. if you meet me ill play it for you on my car stereo.

Even if you couldn't write any more songs, just to know that you exists, and for everything you've already wrote, is enough to make me complete and happy

Hejhej,

Nice to read more personal stuff. Didn't know you were houseless for a while, must have been restless.
But nowadays you lead a restless life all over the world I guess.
Hope to hear the new song on the car stereo. Sadly will miss your gig in Amsterdam this September, but hope to shake your hand one day.

I see on one of your blog pics you play Gretsch? Great guitars. I just bought an old Gibson es330 that's here for life. It's been beaten up a little, but I like any instrument with scars. People too.

Love from Amsterdam
Leine

Emil,

It's all about the pace that comforts you. It seems you have found that. Such a nice thing.

Hope to see you in Chicago this fall.

Best,
Kirk

Everybody deserves lazy at least once in their lives. Enjoy it. Goodness knows restless is lurking, eager to make a grand entrance. Like it does.

Can't wait for the Casbah show in September. Goodness gracious.
